What is "volume weight?"

White Glove Express pricing is based on per pound weight rates. The weight of your shipment will be determined by actual or volume weight, whichever is greater. The universal formula of calculating the volume weight is to multiply the width by height by length in inches, and divide by 166 (W x H x L÷166). If this weight is heavier than the actual weight then charges will be based on volume weight.  If not, then you will be charged the actual weight. All shipments are check weighed at our warehouse. You will be notified if there is a change in price prior to being charged for your shipment.

Do I need a commercial invoice?

Yes. For all international shipments a commercial invoice is required. Think of a commercial invoice as a packing list. This simple form is your communication with customs authorities, declaring the sender, the receiver, details of the contents, and value of the shipment. Click here to download a commercial invoice.

In the rare and unlikely event that a package is lost or damaged, an immediate investigation will commence. Your packages are automatically insured for $100 per box. If your packages are valued at more than $100 per box, purchasing additional insurance is recommended. If White Glove Express is responsible for the loss or damage, you will be compensated for the loss of up to $100 per package unless additional insurance has been purchased.
